Rlam 1® (Alprazolam 1 mg) – Rapid Relief for Anxiety and Panic Disorders

Rlam 1 is a potent, fast-acting anti-anxiety medication containing 1 mg of Alprazolam, a short-acting benzodiazepine widely used in the management of anxiety and panic disorders. Rlam 1 works by enhancing the inhibitory action of the neurotransmitter GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) in the central nervous system, leading to a calming effect that helps reduce excessive nervous activity, restlessness, and acute episodes of panic.

• Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

• Panic Disorder (with or without agoraphobia)

• Short-term relief of anxiety symptoms

• Adjunct treatment in anxiety associated with depression

Mechanism of Action:

Alprazolam in Rlam 1 binds to specific sites on the GABA-A receptor complex, increasing GABA-mediated chloride ion influx. This leads to hyperpolarization of neurons, resulting in decreased excitability and central nervous system depression. The overall effect is reduced anxiety, emotional tension, and improved sleep.

• Drowsiness, fatigue

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Decreased alertness or concentration

• Dry mouth

Precautions & Warnings:

• Dependence & Tolerance: Prolonged use can lead to psychological and physical dependence. Use for the shortest effective duration.

• Withdrawal Risk: Abrupt discontinuation may cause withdrawal symptoms such as rebound anxiety, insomnia, or seizures. Always taper under medical supervision.

• Avoid Alcohol: May enhance sedative effects and lead to respiratory depression.

• Driving/Machinery: Avoid tasks that require alertness until the drug’s effects are known.

• Use in Elderly: Caution due to increased sensitivity and fall risk.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to Alprazolam or other benzodiazepines

• Acute narrow-angle glaucoma

• Concurrent use with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, itraconazole)

• Severe respiratory insufficiency or sleep apnea

Storage Instructions:

• Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F)

• Keep away from heat, moisture, and direct light

• Store out of reach of children and non-prescribed users
