Description
Xanax is the brand name for Alprazolam, a short-acting benzodiazepine primarily used for the treatment of anxiety disorders and panic disorders. It works by calming the brain and nerves through its enhancement of the effects of a natural chemical in the body called GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid).

Mechanism of Action:
